Depth of Becoming

Why do we keep coming back week after week to practice yoga? Because our lives are meant to move like a river with a continuous flow of experiences and growth and to honor this sacred flow, we need to show up, engage, digest and embrace this work of 'becoming' that best version of ourselves.

Becoming is not a destination, it is a journey of personal evolution. It doesn't have a fixed endpoint, it’ i an ongoing process and each practice invites us to explore the depths of that evolution. Each posture pressing us to explore our edges, to find steadiness, ease and surrender, to meet our strengths, and to soften with self-compassion into our vulnerability.

When body and breath are gentle, we can guide them mindfully into the depths, becoming their student and distancing ourselves from judgment and expectation. We drop needing to be "perfect" and empty the vessel so that we can feel and hear the soft whisper of self-acceptance rippling through our body, heart and mind.

“Maybe the journey isn’t so much about becoming anything. Maybe it’s about un-becoming everything that isn’t really you, so you can be who you were meant to be in the first place.”

― Paul Coelho

Becoming invites us to transcend identity and labels - mother, father, daughter, titles, good or bad and to explore the depths of our emotions, beliefs, and purpose. Yoga is the invitation to hold space for ourselves with awareness, curiosity, and tenderness.

Life will continue to unfold like a river, and we will find ourselves winding through valleys of joy one moment and through mountains that will challenge us the next. Each moment contributes to our story, and yoga reminds us that we can change what that looks like. We get to shape who we are and what we become.

Yoga is the trusted companion that holds our hand throughout this sacred journey, and I am so grateful guiding you week after week on this courageous expedition into uncharted waters, where unfamiliar shores reveal our deepest truths and most raw and authentic selves.
